POLICE / MILITARY APPAREL

Primarily applied in the U.S. Army's Combat Uniform (ACU), the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP, also known as ACUPAT or "digicam"), was developed as a "universal camouflage" that works equally well in all environments, regardless desert, woodland/jungle or urban, which would remove the need to issue specialised camo clothing for soldiers deployed to different geographical areas.

Being composed of a slate grey, desert sand and foliage green pixel pattern, which becomes darker or lighter depending on exposure to sunlight, the ACU camo was however not well received and withdrawn after several years in service.
